About Performers: Ashley and Leslie:
Ashley: Ashley Rhianne is an award-winning dancer & instructor trained in Egyptian-style dance based in Vancouver-Canada.
She is a highly sought-after performer and has been a main staple in the Vancouver scene known for her expressive and personable performances, elegance, and natural joie de vivre. Ashley Rhianne has taught, judged & performed nationally & internationally in festivals, intensives & classes. She teaches regular weekly classes, master series & privates.
To date, Ashley Rhianne has performed throughout Canada, the USA, Trinidad, Egypt, Ecuador, Ukraine, Brazil, Vietnam, and in the UK. She has long held residency in most of the Greek, Arabic, Persian and Mediterranean restaurants and venues in Vancouver, BC since 2001 and has performed in many festivals, multicultural events, theatres and on television. Ashley also spent summers in Cairo in 2017 & 2018 performing on boats on the Nile for Egyptian and foreign audiences. She was also a featured guest artist, teacher, and judge at Oriental Passion Saigon (Vietnam 2018 & 2019), Raqs of Course Festival (Egypt 2018), Isadora Cup Festival (Ukraine 2017), Powerhouse (Seattle 2018), Dahab Brasil Egipto (Brazil 2018), Miami Bellydance Convention (Miami 2019) and Bellyfolklore (Ecuador 2017 & 2018).
Leslie: Leslie is a Vancouver bellydancer. She loves getting audiences on their feet to enjoy the music and break the ice at events. Specializing in sword balancing and silk veil work, she has a flexibility and timing that is sure to impress. Her education in the art of middle eastern dance helps her choose the right music and costume for any event. As artistic director for Sahara Nights Bellydance, she took home the first place award in the Duo category for Sahara Nights sword performance at the 2017 Dance Orientale Competition in Washington. Trained in ballet, jazz, latin dance and Brazilian Samba, Leslie is also an accomplished choreographer.
