From 'Yes' to 'I Do': A Real Couple’s Journey at High Beam Dreams, Sunshine Coast

Some weddings stay with you and here High Beam Dreams, and we feel lucky to have been a small part of it. One such wedding was of S&S.

When they first walked in

It was a crisp afternoon when S&S walked in. Our garden was just starting to bloom and Japanese Maple tree stood in full glorious color. They both turned to us and said " We would like to get married here. We had the pleasure of attending one of your events and were truly impressed by the warmth of your hospitality and the genuine respect you extend to your guests." That's the moment we will never forget.

Planning

From the very beginning, S&S did not just want to plan a wedding, they wanted to plan a gathering of love—something close to the heart, full of meaning, and shared with their closest people.

We worked closely with them over the months, helping shape the details while they brought in the emotion. They chose to exchange vows inside under high beams and spent some magical special moments under the maple tree with their closest loved ones. It felt less like a venue and more like a home for love that day.

All the Little Moments

Some of the most meaningful moments weren’t scripted. The couple’s decision to personally serve cake to each guest at their table, and to forgo a traditional head table so they could sit among their loved ones, spoke volumes about the kind of celebration they wanted—intimate, inclusive, and full of heart.

These moments don’t appear on planning checklists—but they’re what truly matter. And our space held them with quiet grace.
